UPDATE: One Day Only | April 22 | Saturday 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM
You’re invited to a church-wide retreat where we will learn about and experience the spiritual practice of Holy Listening. How do we hear and discern God’s voice in a world that is so full of noise?
The leadership of St. Luke UMC is aware that much is shifting in our church and our culture. All of this change has created an increased sense of anxiety– where our first instinct is to strategize, problem-solve, and fix. This retreat offers a different approach. Holy listening is about learning to recognize and respond to God in the midst of all the noise.
This retreat will be a time of worship, spiritual renewal, and collective learning. It is the first step of many as we discern where God is calling us.
What is holy listening?
What does holy listening require?
How do we practice holy listening?
Disclaimer: At the end of this retreat, we will not walk away with a 3-part strategy or 6-month plan. We will not use this time to brainstorm and or formulate lists. This retreat is about first learning to trust and listen to where God is calling us before we implement any new ideas.
